.07 mpg?I don't think you'd like to hear the reason. I cannot say and hope we learn more direct from Ford (which I kind of doubt). I do believe the aero testing to have been done and I understand they indeed provided a functional benefit.
$78 vs $0 (no vent).07 mpg?
Aren't the rods in the Voodoo pretty damn strong for an OEM engine?$78 vs $0 (no vent)
I made up the $78, but the point was cost savings
What else could Ford have done in either car that was punted due to cost?
A real special 5.0/5.2 (or even stroker) for Bullit? these vents in CF to complete the CFTP cars? real Manley rods for Voodoo and Predator? (Who here would pass on a $1000 Track pack which includes forged rods?)

This is the first high end Mustang that I absolutely do not care about.
It has taken far too long to reach the market and seems to be given unobtainium status. There is no excuse for the delay. A supercharged, cross plane 5.2 with a manual transmission could have delivered 2 years ago, the DCT released after more R&D time if that was the hold up.
I have no doubt the 2020 Vette will be on the road first, and there will more of them on the road.
The GT500 will end up in climate controlled garages of guys that still worship Shelby.
Well, spoiler alert.... Nobody under the age of 40 really knows or cares who Shelby was.
there is a movie coming out that should help the younger folk remember.

LOL What? I am under 40, and have owned a couple Shelby's and a 2020 will be included in a couple months. FYI - the first ones should be hitting roads I think in November, not sure when the C8 is landing? Of course, there will be more C8s lmao, it's going to be a much more produced vehicle.
P.S - My garage is not climate controlled either haha.
Modern performance cars have no business being named after a senior citizen, 6 feet under.
Shelby put a big motor in a stripped down car and went racing. Not at all relatable to the bloated cruiser Ford is about to release.
I actually cant wait to see that movie..looks goodTell us how ya really feel. While I agree Ford took too long and there sweet ass time on this. Seems the Bronco will be delayed now too. I’m under 40 and I know and care who Shelby was. There will be a movie soon too that looks pretty good.
