Yea exactly and bummed about it, Picked up my brand new 2014 GT from the dealer today, only to find this out on my 4 hour drive home. Reached my hand behind the driver seat(floor/carpet) to get my water bottle only to be surprised by a soaking wet rear carpet. My initial thoughts were my water bottle opened up and spilled all over the back. But that wasn't the case. I pulled over and checked the front carpet underneath my drivers floor mat and it was soaked as well. Any one have a clue or have had this issue?

Why would you get hostile with the customer service rep? It's probably something simple. These things happen. Humans still put these together you know. I understand it is frustrating but give them a chance bro lol.

I don't get hostile...:D

Ran a hose on the cowl, looks like i have water dripping from a lower hole right after the hood latch/seam firewall. So disappointed I don't no what bothers me more ,the leaking water or the thoughts of my brand new car gettering torn apart by some careless mechanic at the dealer.

Ive heard of this before. You don't have a closer dealer to you then the one you purchased from? Something like this would be covered under warranty, you can go to any authorized Ford dealer to have it repaired, not the one you purchased it from.

PM sent,

Car is going to a local dealer Wednesday. The new car leather smell is now being faded away, starting to smell musty now. I am so disgusted i don't even want to look at it. Still has only 230 miles on it from my trip home. Leak was discovered when i took delivery of it brand new saturday with 32 miles on it.

Thanks Ashley for the help, however I have received no calls about a loaner.

Car is at dealer now with 252 miles on it.It rained all last night and once again carpet is all wet.. Dealer won't give me a loaner car because I didn't purchase it from them. They also tell me they are doing construction and 4 of their bays are down, and they don't no when they can look at the car.. How did this pass ford quality control. Also I highly believe the purchasing dealer knew about this(they had to when they prepped the car) and didn't tell me about it(tasca ford in seekonk MA). I called them today to tell them about this. I got a" sorry about that and we will check the other cars":mj:

Why do you think the car will be torn apart? I know If the car came to my dealer and I wrote it up, either our seal specialists would replace a worn seal,or the cowl would be replaced, that's it. No breaking down of the vehicle. The tech is only going to get paid so much time on the ticket, he will not do extra work he won't get paid for.

This is an unpleasant situation, certainly. But try to make the best of it, it will get fixed and have the dealer detail it for you, you'll be good as new.

I work at a dealer as well, I know what goes on.

I would figure door sill, drivers side seat/carpet has to come out. Insulation has to be removed. Who knows what else, if carpet has mold. How will I know they won't tell me. The specialist isn't going to take the car apart. The punk who just graduated the local auto school and has a chicken nugget for a brain will.

Make the best out of the situation? I bought a 44k$ Brand new car that I drove 8 hours round trip for, have had for 4 days and it is sitting at a dealer who doesn't care because I didn't buy the car from them with a puddle of water in the front and rear drivers side foot well area. I have no car to take my son to school tomorrow, and have to pay for a cab and mass transit..like I said I bought a new mustang so there wouldn't be any unpleasant situations atleast in the first 4 days.

You should try and give Ford corporate a call and see what they can do to provide you a loaner, explain the issue with the dealer(s) and politely let them know if things aren't taken care of this will be the last vehicle you purchase from their company. While i love to drive vehicles they produce, i would still treat them just like another other company who doesn't stand behind their product.

And i understand that, however sometimes shit happens. They will fix the car. Did you ask the service director for a loaner, after you explained your situation? My director wouldnt hesitate to give you a loaner car in this scenario, nor would I. Ford doesnt provide loaner cars as a company, but i know my dealership uses Enterprise every single day.

Anyway, keep us updated. Good luck

Ford themselves may not be able to loan you a vehicle, but they can push the dealer in the correct direction I'm sure

Hey there, MKSVT.

It looks like you've got a call coming your way today. :)

Ashley

I have received no calls from a regional supervisor Cynthia. My ford dealer contacted me today and confirmed water is leaking into the cabin. However they need more time with the car.So once again i have to pay for transit tomorrow and have no loaner car. I have filed a compliant against the regional manager Cynthia as she wont call me or answer my calls in 4 days.My friend had a similar problem with her as his 2013 raptor has been in for the same check engine light 5 times.. Every time i call ford customer service i am told the same lies a supervisor will call you. They are pointless and do nothing for you. I honestly don't even know the point of there job is. I keep getting jerked around by ford customer service. I spoke to a customer service rep who to told me a rep supervisor would call me back in 2 hours until i said i will wait on the phone for her and Amber (customer service supervisor)answered me withing 10 minutes. Supposedly a regional manager supervisor will call me tomorrow.I wont keep my hopes up. To let any potential buyers know that if you have any issues with your car especially a brand new 4 day old one that has a manufacturer defect.Expect no help from ford customer service.

I just had a bad experience today at my local Ford dealer myself. Different situation than yours, but just felt like I got bent over and not cleaned up afterwards when I left. I think the whole FordService having regional customer service rep look into it/ give me and you a case # is just so Ford can keep a tab on issues with their vehicles so it doesn't turn into a GM ignition switch deal. Makes me not want to go back to the dealer for anything ever again.
