Looking for info and pics on anyone that has swapped a 99-04 8.8 into a 94-98. Please list any wheel specs and experiences with this swap. Thanks for the help.

I know the brake hardware is the same. Is the actual brake line on the housing the same, i.e. will is bolt to the same location as the 94-98. Thanks for the help.

it bolts right in thats what i have in mine, i dont have any pictures of it but all factory wheels bolt up with no problem. if you are ordering rims though its best to measure your backspace first.
i did it because the tires were always too tucked in for my tastes and i had a friend that wanted the narrower rear. ive only had one wheel fitment issue and that was with a set of draglites that already had a goofy offset

Yeah that's why I am changing it out. I don't want to run spacers and I don't like the way the wheels are tucked. Also, I can use the 8.8 that I am taking out for another project. Thanks for the help.

I've been dieing to see someone do this.
Swap it out.
Everything will bolt up.
The only thing is, if you use 10.5 or 10" wheels they will most likely stick out.

I have a 2000 GT 8.8 axle in my 98, the rear wheels are 10.5.
Sorry about the blurry pics.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will be going with a 9" wheel. So I think I should be good to go. "006" I am assuming that those are 9" in the rear. Just checking.
