From what I have read, to keep it from shrinking you will need to heat it and stretch it first then heat it again to learn the shape. That's around corners anyway. But flat spots should be the same. I am thinking about wrapping my car this winter.
It looks terrible with out it.. Here are some pictutes of my old GT with it off.
I used a drive way sealer from home depot ($10) instead of paying for a new chin spoiler.. It turned out pretty good, you wouldnt notice it wasnt a real thing unless you knew about it. Here are some pictures of that.
Again, this was done on a GT. so I didnt really care if it didnt look perfect. I probably wouldnt do this to my cobra unless it was a temporary thing. BTW i did this to the GT in 2013, and it still is holding strong with the new owner.
This may be a cheap option for you until you find an OEM one.
**EDIT**
I see you are in JAX. I'm about to get stationed down there in August. How is the terminator scene down there?
There's quite a few around. I just got mine a week ago and it's my first one so I'm learning everything as I go. I'm sure I speak for a bunch of people when I say I want a write up on that "driveway sealer" alternative! My car is nice but it's not a show car so I wouldn't mind doing that to mine. It's like on Shawshank Redemption, how often do you really look at a man's shoes? lol If it's there, people won't scrutinize it (unless it's all jacked up like mine!)
