I would love to find out that all it is is a valve cover clearence
problem, but could Ford be so stupid as to not see this?
Think of all the money Ford would have wasted if that was
the case. I think some of the ticks may be Valve cover related
but probably not all. Hopefully the ansewer will come out and
we will all know what caused the TICK and what the correct
remedy is. Barry

I posted this same link and asked about it in the 2002 Mystichrome Head Tick thread.

It was totally ignored. I figured that it was just me being gullable.

I have been watching over at the SVTOA and no additional details have been posted. :shrug:

If it were that easy I think Ford would have figured that one out. I'm thinking this is a wishful thinking fix....or like Barry said, maybe this is the case in some cars.

This whole issue basically sucks. :cuss:

If I were you Street I would be totally pissed off (as I'm sure you are).

These cars are not cheap and problems like this should be addressed immediately.

We need someone that currently has the TICK to loosen their
left valve cover and see if the noise changes or goes away.Barry
