Been with Lexus since 2006- present. Every single one of those chrome wheels was an aftermarket chroming company sourcing factory wheel cores with participating dealers and doing a shit job on stripping and prep. they would buy 10 sets of each new wheel and as the cars came off the truck, they would automatically get a repair order written for chrome wheel swap. You must not be familiar with the LS's old models. Tons of those came from Lexus with chrome wheels.
Every single one eventually had leaking beads, bead corrosion, piss poor chrome quality and could not stay balanced for longer than a few weeks.
I can assure you, with all the headaches those damn things caused, they were NOT factory and Lexus, a division of Toyota Motor Sales USA, did not warranty them. The selling dealer typically had to eat any and all costs relating to the poor wheel performance.
I made a good chunk of money on performing the chrome wheel swaps. The product I installed was shit.
