Look at title, I got the newest Hot Rod today and they had an awesome looking 05 Mustang GT on the cover, first in the 12's. I am sure if any had found they would have posted it but I thought maybe someone could look, I looked some but no luck.

Yea, but it took alot to get it there!
12 sec 05 Mustang!
This months Hot Rod has the first 05 Mustang in the 12's in it! Of Course Paul's High Performance did it (first Mach in the 11's, First Cobra in the 10's). Looks like it took quite a bit to get it there-
new suspension front and rear (moved shock locations etc)
4.30 gears
Eaton Carbon Fiber Clutch
took out 380 pounds including the rear seat,
full exhaust,
underdrive pullies,
4.30's
Eaton Carbon Fiber Clutch
CAI
the owner of SCT redid the computer,
put wildwood lightweight brakes on it,
fabricated support rods on the tranny to allow powershifting and 15x8 Weld wheel with 26x10.5 Et Streets.
I think that was it...

Final result was 299.5 hp and 319 tq. Weighed in at 3,120lbs

Stock they got a best of 13.90 @101.3
They said wheelhop in the stock form was so bad they thought they were going to break the rear end! Engine management won't let you powershift or do a burnout!
No burnouts? Is this true?

LOL, that wasn't the first 05 Mustang in the 12's. THat was a PHP Special in the 12's. Still doesn't prove much...you know what I'm going to say next...the most pathetic argument in chat board history..."but if you did the same thing to the Cobra/Camaro SS/Corvette it would be in the 10s".

Admit it, you were thinking that before you read this. :dw:

Took it enough to get there. I know of quite a few Machs that have hit 12's with nothing more than sticky tires.

Pathetic. What a terd. All that just to get a 12 sec pass. Should of just bought a stock 98 Camaro for 5 grand.

IMO there is no reason the 05 GT shouldn't be running 12's with nothing but a good driver and DRs. Maybe Ford will make the next Mustang GT able to run 12's stock.

The traction control is supposed to be tuned down a bit and can tell between spinning in the rain and wanting to have some fun. So if you want to heat them up or put on a show, have at it. Of course, you could just turn it off. It even tells you in the brochure.

300hp to run 12s, not too impressive. Stock 5.0 foxbodies have ran 12s w/ just gears and suspension :D Now 11s I'd tip my hat to :)

4.30 gears...

took out 380 pounds including the rear seat,
Nuff said.

Looks like these things are gonna be mean, though. 324lb/ft is a good starting point.
Now they just need to cover up those retarded rear-side windows...

Non the less a 12.3 @ 112 is pretty damn good for a 281ci.

A 12.3 is a big difference as compaired to a 12.9

What about that one vid a long time ago. The white 05 doing a burnout through an entire parking lot. This was like the first 05 vid around...
