Guy I bought my Shelby with the side window louvers and I just realized that I hate them.

the tape is on the paint. How would I go about removing these as to not mess up the paint below?

If this the tape that is used for the shelby letter you warm it with a heat gun then use fish iline to cut thru it. Once off it is easy to remove the rest of the adhesive.

Floss isnt going to get behind that tape and take it off what you need is a hair dryer to soften it up and pick it off with your fingers. Use Goo gone for the residue. Then polish the areas.

Spray it generously with WD-40. Let it soak for 3 - 5 minutes. Lift it right off. Just don't be sloppy with it. You don't want to spray it like you're trying to paint the car. Either use that little red tube or hold the nozzle close to the area you're spraying.

how likely is it the 2 sided tape can damage the paint below?
None. Heat it up a little and it will get soft and tacky you can pick the big chunks off with your fingers like bubble gum. After that rub some goo gone on what's left and let it sit for a few mins and wipe it off. You my want to polish and wax the area afterwards.

*Goo Gone*

Good Morning//
The GooGone is the Ticket/:coolman:.. What I've done is spray it on
a Clean Rag and *Dab It* on the adhesive issue and let it
*Soak Into the Foam adhesive* and just leave it for awhile.
Make sure it doesn't get under anything else that's adhered
w/two-way tape.It has worked for me 99% of the time.
Like the other Poster said, It's a good Idea to wax that area
when all's said & done. Good Luck.

Best Regards//:coolman:

I used floss and then goo gone to remove the "focus" emblem from my wife's ST. took all of 5 minues and didn't damage the paint and didn't leave any adhesive.
