Every time I flew into MCI I would just drive around after getting out of the Airport until I smelled great BBQ.

That's all I wanted to eat since NOBODY in Los Angeles knows how to smoke anything properly.

Breakfast? BBQ and a beer.

there isnt much legit in that shithole.

HiBoy Burger
Master Wok Chinese food in Independence
Zarda's BBQ
Lee's Summit Hickory BBQ
Jack Stack BBQ
Smokehouse BBQ
Leo's Pizza up north (Gladstone area I think).

not any decent breakfast places.

I did used to enjoy the Hy-Vee grocery store deli. the biscuits and gravy were top notch!

Shit hole? We may not have the nice mountain views that you do, but I wouldn't say this is a shit hole.

OP - As far as a legit breakfast place, I couldn't help you there. We find ourselves going to Le Peep from time to time and I wouldn't say it's amazing, but it's not bad. First watch is also pretty good, but it's been a while since I've been there.

As far as BBQ, I personally do not like Zarda's BBQ. Jack Stack, Authur Bryant, Smokin Guns BBQ and even Wyandotte BBQ are better choices (again, my opinion). Zona Rosa, The Legends and Kansas City Power and Light District are good places if you want to shop/eat. Weather is going to be cool the next two weeks (mid-80's) so it'll be nice to be out and about.

i wouldnt feed a dog Arthur Bryants. disgusting. thats not BBQ. :nonono:

Go home, you're drunk. Having trains run on you by flat-billers in shitty east side bars didn't teach you jack diddly shit about food in Kansas City.

You lived there 26 years and never heard of any decent breakfast place, you think some chinese place in Methdependence is a top eatery in the city, and you think Arthur Bryant's is unfit for dog food. I'm guessing you "lived" at a casino.

Big Biscuit. Breakfast is pretty legit. They are all over, just google it. I wish so bad we had them here over on the STL side.

now where did I say it was the top eatery? :dw:

nowhere. but it is very good Chinese restaurant.

nope, never been to any of the casinos. gambling isnt my thing.

you would be correct. I never found a breakfast place in Kansas City that was ever worthy of writing home about or recommending to anyone. nothing that ever struck me as "oh wow, that was great!".

Nice mountain views in Denver??? NO. It's basically flat and filled with hipster douchebags and an ailing Manning who will always have less superbowl rings than his brother. For nice views, one must travel to the various skiing towns.

Last time I was in CO, we drove straight to Estes Park and stayed at the Stanely Hotel. That's what I think of when I think of Colorado.

OP - When will you be here?
