I come from the world of backspacing in inches, so I'm always getting confused on offset in MM. On a 18x10 wheel with a +40 offset, on a stock suspension car, where would that put the lip of the wheel at in relation to the top of the rear fender?

Google offset calculator and then google mm to inches.

I have 19x11 at +53 and they are flush maybe 1/8 inch out of wheel well with 305/30.

I beleive a 40mm offset on a 10" wheel is flush to the fender. I had some 18x10's that were +45 and they were "perfect" imo.
