Mods:

4:56's
IMRC deletes
CAI
mid-lengths
x-pipe
cat-back
american muscle "custom 93 octane SCT tune"

It was hotter then hell and humidity was very high.

This was on street tires also.

Best pass

60 ft: 2.15 (was hoping to dip in the 2.0's)

14.11 @ 101

From what I can see, to me the MPH is down from what others have posted with similar mods. I am thinking the humidity cost me 1-2 MPH but my buddies bone stock 11' GT was trapping 110 with no problem.

Thoughts?

Temp was 98-100 most likely 70% humidity. I was live in SW MO. Da's were 3800-4100.

Yes my friends GT is 5.0.

I would think you'd run alot better than that... but like you said the temp/humidity hurt you IMO>

My 95' GT w/ stock 3.08s, offroad H, and 2 1/4" Flowmasters welded into the stock cat ran a similar time back in the day (1999 maybe??)....

14.148... 96.79 mph... 2.042 60'.... on the sixth run of a summer afternoon.

This run was with pretty much your same mods..4.56's, cai, inrc delete, tune, x pipe with cats, php ported intake. Temp was 101 60% humidity

I would say your mph is pretty low. I had 275 mt drag radials and launched at 6k..

I kept my launches between 3k-4k and even that was worthless feathering through the throttle. A 6k launch on stickies would help my ET but I don't see the MPH getting any better. I am with you though, figured I would at least see 104-105.

Eh, if I would have pulled off that 2.0X 60 I would have been looking at 13.9-13.8 and thats what I was shooting for on street tires.

get some tires first, 4.56 and reg. street tires wont accomplish a thing. Get a real tire and run times and then we can see if the car is really far off the mark.

Way low for the mods, I've seen bone stock cars going mid 13's and trapping higher. I'm sure the temp, humidity and street tires didn't help though.

I would highly recommend a custom dyno tune, canned tunes sucks.

one quick question, what rpm are you guys shifiting at? I was shifting around 6200 every gear. I have tried difirent rpms but it seems to fall off a bit past that. When i say fall off I don't mean alot, just feels out of the power band.

well I guess I need to do some checking and see why it's falling off a bit early. Wonder if the fuel pump is a bit weak.

The MPH seems low for your setup. The power will fall off because your are past the RPM where the maximum HP is made, but shifting higher(just before limiter shutoff) keeps the RPM in the sweet spot in the next gear, you are shifting to early.
+1 on the tires(street tires and low gears don't mix well.

That looks very similar to my times when I had 4.10s and similar mods. I got down to 13.7s after I switched to drag radials. Still couldn't get it to hook up great.

I would think you are losing 2mph with the Missouri heat and humidity, but as stated before, get some real tires and you'll already be better!!

I used to hit very low 14's with a stock 97 64xxxx mile cobra and trap about 100 or 101. What killed me was my dang street tires so my 60 was not real decent.

You definitely have a few factors working against you. The temperature is definitely a hinder to your performance. Just the 4:56 alone should put you in the 13s. I have seen cobras with similar mods as yours running low 13s to high 12's with a good set of tires. I would recommend either a good set of drag radials or slicks just for the track. Good luck man.

Well the slicks helped but its still not quite where I think it should be.

Temp was perfect high 70's with nice cool breeze.

Best pass.......

60 ft : 1.88

13.60 @ 102.72

This was launching at around 4000-4200 RPM and shifting at 6800 every gear. I would have tried launching harder but a buddy of mine was watching it in the burnout box, the driver side rear wasn't spinning at all so it needs a t-loc rebuild. So launching any harder would have been pointless.
