:-D Is the boost bypass mod necessary once you have a custom tune? Does the custom tune prevent the boost dump or should I go ahead and do the boost bypass mod after my pulley and tune install? I appreciate it.

When I got my tune done they said they turned the bypass off. Also the torque reduction was turned off. Not sure if it really works though as I have never had my truck dump boost even with the 4# lower.

My dump valve is still functional and I've never had it actuate, even when doing a burnout.

Since it is a safety feature, I prefer to leave it connected unless I start having a problem with it.

If the guy turned mine off as part of a tune I would find another guy to tune my truck. How long do you want your trans. You can leave it on and change the 8 to 4 cylinder delay time. This is what happens on the 1 & 2nd upshift. If you diconect the bypass your trans can't handle the torque at the begining of the first two shifts.
