I need your help guys!!! I recently purchased a csvt. the previous owner put a new alternator and battery. Battery and alternator not even a 1,000 miles on them. the alternator fried the battery. All the acid was on top of the battery and the two caps were loose, the damn battery was extremely hot. As you raised the RPMs the battery voltage went up to 16.8x
Would it be the alternator overcharging the battery? What causes this to happen?
