Hi Folks,

Well, I had this annoying rattle from the very first day. It was very tinny sounding and seemed to be loudest at exactly 3000rpm (resonance). Today, I had my car up in the air to change the oil and when I was done, I started tapping the exhaust system with a rubber mallet. Low and behold, my rear O2 sensors were INCREDIBLY loose. In fact, I had to make two full turns to even get them to seat. However, they did show signs of wrench marks (shiny spots along edge of hex pattern).

Apparently, the dealer must've done the H-pipe replacement (for overheated cats) and left the rear O2 sensors loose. If it was the front, they definitely would've found the problem (would've most likely thrown a code). So, in speculation, you can add me to the list of people who most likely had their cats replaced. Nice to know that the dealer did if BEFORE they let it out the door.
