So...most of us know, you get what you pay for. Obvously. But, every now and then, you come across a deal that could be good...or perhaps too good to be true. Has anyone purchased a short block from AMS Racing? Just curious.

  • Ford 5.0L coyote block RFBR3E 6015 HF (with oil squirters provision)
  • Ford Racing boss 302 4130 steel forged crankshaft (M-6303-M50B)
  • Manley 4340 steel forged h-beam connecting rods with ARP 8740 bolts (14042-8)
  • Mahle powerpak plus pistons (choose comp. ratio 12.5:1 or 9.0:1)
  • King or Clevite racing main & rod bearings
  • Assembly balanced & assembled in house at AMS Racing with spec sheet provided
  • 12,000 mile/12 month warranty

if you are going to go as far as ordering a motor you might as well not skip out on a few better item's like the arp 2000 rod bolts and id option for some weiscos or a set of diamond pistons. it would be nice if they offered a compression ratio some where around 11.5:1.

that is my thoughts on it though
