Just thought I would ask for anyone doing their own fabricating. Right now I have a 3'x3'x.25" sheet of aluminum I would be willing to share.....or part with.... if anyone has a need. I can usually get other material too.

Is it weldable or non-weldable and what type of aluminum is it?
Ok....so now you're going to get technical on me. LOL!! I have no idea if it is weldable. I thought it was......why wouldn't it be? I could probably look at the sheet and see what the markings are on it and maybe it would give you some idea. I used it for making backing plates.
lol its ok I didn't know that thier was a diffrence untill my friend drilled it into my head. Thier should be a stamping some where on it but hell I guess free metal is free metal. I could try and explain the diffrence but I would probably fudge it up so if you really want to know I can always have my buddy explain it.
Do you have access to a break?
I may.....not that I have had a need for one for anything I have done so far. I have a few contacts who are usually able to give me the hook.
