how tough of a job? on my old car (2000 SVT Contour) it was a nightmare. I'm hoping its easier on this car. Is there a write up somewhere that can walk me through it?

Its really easy to switch out on these cars. Just take the belt off, disconnect the wires. Unbolt it and comes right off.
you dont even need to unbolt it, just loosen the 2 bolts its sitting on one can be done with a socket the other you'll need a wrench (water pump pulley is in the way) and it lifts right out
can be done in 20 minutes start to finish
