Alternator question

First does any1 know how many amps our cobra's alternator is stock? Secondly i was thinking of upgrading mine since I run a high power stereo system and sometimes when im coming to a stop the car wants to drop idle down to like 400 and i see the power guage goes down and comes back up. Its not the battery cause I got a sweet ultima red top.
Anyways is there anything bad that could happen if upgrading to a 200 amp alternator? :shrug:

yeah it is. I don't believe anyone makes a higher amp alternator for our cars but i'm not completely sure.

Oh yeah I got the prices for my car: $317 for a painted, $379 for Chrome or satin finished Alum. Both were the 200AMP & was told brand new alternators..
