I'd say more than 70% of SVTP doesn't know the difference between to and too....4th grade English teachers are sobbing across the US.

Yeah, this is my pet peave to. To many people just dont remember going too school and learning these things.

this means alot to me that you took the time to share this invaluable piece of information with us.

now those of us making less than $100,000 a year will see our incomes soar into the $250,000+ range so we can be thoroughly overtaxed by Obama.

 and I'm only kidding of course.

That one doesn't bother me as much as the misspelled or misused common phrases. If you're going to use a cliche or Latin phrase in an attempt to sound smart, at least use the right letters.

All intents and purposes. NOT All intensive purposes.
Voila! Not Wallah! (not even close) or Viola! (musical instrument or small flower)
Moot (of little value) point, not mute (unable to speak) point.
etc.

+1 on this!!

I can look past spelling/grammar mistakes most of the time, but when I have to stop and figure out why a stray word or phrase is there it irritates the hell out of me.

A new one I've noticed within the past few years:

100$ instead of the proper way $100 (one hundred dollars).
The dollar sign goes before the number.

It seems that the younger crowd always gets this very basic thing wrong. Further proof that education in this country has gone completely down the drain.

I weep for our future.

Hahaha, I always get a kick out of people that write "per say".
