All This Talk About Pulley Marks.......

I always read about how people claim there are pulley marks on the 03 cobra- tell tale signs of a pulley being tampered with. Well I honestly believe tne dealer would have no way of finding out whether or not I changed the pulley. I have changed the pulley, and have returned it to stock. When I returned it to stock, there were no marks or lines. Can someone please fill me in as to what the pulley marks really are?

On my motor there are paint marks on the nuts in blue and yellow where the snout meets the main housing....

Why did you return it to stock?

I had to get my car aligned and a fog light repaired,,,,I didnt want any techs snooping around!

I looked at mine and there are no paint marks either. Just the ones on the case and snout, then those paint marks on the end of the studs for the pulley cover.

I imagine they're talking about marks on the end of the pulley shaft. If you don't put a washer in between the puller plunger (for lack of a better term) and the shaft, it will score the visible end of the shaft.
