Most of you might not know this but your cobra can not mate to any other 99-02 hoods without their being some space between the fascia and hood.
Your stock hood does not frown down like the previous cobra hoods- and all other new edge mustang hoods for that matter.
THis was to allow for a larger grille opening as well make the styling match the straighter looking bumper.

Look at the pic with the 03 cobra hood closed on the saleen bumper. See the 2 inch space between the front bumper and hood.
I see that some of you are thinking of replacing your hood for an aftermarket. I don't think you'll be happy with that huge gap.
I know all of this cause i'm in the midst of replacing my 99 cobra bumper with the 03. I'm then mating it with the 2000 cobra R hood. I'm planning on a custom front bumper body kit with it.
I'll post pics if any of you care.
Anyway, just didn' want any of you to waste your money without knowing.
