If you've retained your stock 94-98 Airbags, but have swapped in a new motor with 99-04 wiring etc, you will need to install an inline resistor to regulate or change the voltage in order to get rid of the passenger side airbag voltage code that will be flashing in your gauge. The airbag is still functional, but the resistor is required to get it into 99-04 spec.
I * think* it was a 1ohm resistor, but someone with technical experience might be able to identify what ohm it is. (it's been 5.5 years since my swap and I cannot remember the exact ohm it was).
You can look up the color codes for verification....
1 ohm resistor color code - Google Search
Here is the resistor I took out..
I finally put in an 04 Cobra airbag, thus I did not need the resistor anymore. (Anyone need a 94-98 tan passenger airbag for cheap?)
Cheers!
Ken
