The only way to remove an airbag without having a light is to wire a resistor into the airbag circuit wires that go to that airbag. You would have to find out from ford service information what the airbag resistance is supposed to be and use the same impedance rated resistor.
DO NOT TRY TO OHM OUT THE AIRBAG TO FIND THE RESISTANCE! The slight amperage a multi meter gives off can set the airbag off in your face.
Airbags are tricky, but what Sluggie24 said is exactly right.
I had an accident back in 2014 that deployed both of my airbags. I removed the old air bag module, and never replaced it. I also bought new bags, bolted them up, but left them unplugged. I was too afraid to try and get a new module put in or anything, because if the sensor in the front end of the car was left pressed in or something, my fear was that they would go off again lol. I just deal with the light and let it be.
