I'm 49. I didn't realize that there were that many young people with 03 Cobras.

16, will be shopping for a used 2003 cobra for my first car when i become 17.

before anyone jumps to conclusions, kids have many reasons why they can afford cars, granted a lot are just spoiled and there parents pay for everything (which i believe is bs) but dont go beating on other kids who work hard for it, or have been through some hard times in there life... and can afford a nice car at 17. anythings o.k. as long as your responsible with it.

i'm 18yrs old and just bought my 04 cobra on july 31st. i turn 19 on aug. 22nd.

i have had a few cars:
first car was an 89 lincoln towncar that was my grandmas that i borrowed to go to school and work while she was recovering form knee surgery
second car was an explorer that my parents bought for me.
i sold the Explorer and bought an 03 GT in may of 2003 with my own money.
I recently sold the GT and bought my 04 cobra with my money.

the way i can afford it is i have owned my own windshield repair company for almost 4yrs, i have no employees so all the responsibility is on me....but so is all the income. i am a full time student at Texas Tech but i also do windshields on weekends all day and by appointment during the week. these cars are definately very powerful and can be dangerous with the wrong person behind the wheel but as long as you understand and respect the power that it has you should be ok. i love this car and cannot see myself gettin rid of it. my friends can't believe that and 18yr old can afford a brand new cobra but they are the same kids that don't pay for anything and think babysitting for their neighbor is work.

i commend all you other young terminator owners that pay for your cobra yourself, i know it is tough but it is sooo worth it!

wow.. owning your own business @ 14 is kinda nuts..

but everyone needs to stop and realize no matter how you figure it, the reason we can afford these cars is because our parents are well off and pay for everything.

I have friends who make as much money as I do but they have to pay for school, rent, etc.. I get that taken care of for me.
