[QUOTE="Ohio Snake, post: 16117767, member: 157862"] The topic is of “who is buying”. From my perspective, the answer is “maybe” with one variable ( of more) to consider.....price. Price seems to be variable for many on this thread as well. We are guessing what the MSRP is going to be. I, for one, think the MSRP will not eclipse $80K. Others think higher. What one is willing to pay from MSRP to a dealer (ADM) is another topic. This area seems to be clearcut for me: 1.) Buying below MSRP, your probably a good negotiator and the dealership may see you as a long term customer. 2.) Buying at MSRP, you stuck to your price point and the dealership wants you business as “no hassle”. 3.) Buying with an ADM means you really want that car at any price (emotionally desperate) and the dealership knows they can sell at any price they command to take advantage of you. I have no problem buying at or under MSRP depending on the vehicle.....the GT500 at MSRP may be fine for me. I would not consider this as stupid. For me, buying any vehicle above MSRP is stupid. Why? Two reasons: 1.) Your purchasing a vehicle above its MSRP that depreciates in value calculated from that MSRP. This to me is just dumb. I would rather wait for someone to sell a very low mileage super clean and babied GT500 a few years later than buy with ADM. 2.) The dealership that tried to sell the vehicle to me or anyone else with an ADM just lost me as a customer....permanently. This is a dealership that just rips customers off “big- time” and does not care about you as person. Your a walking “cash cow” to the dealership, knowing your weakness, and shaft you and anyone else up the a**. Thats how I really feel about ADM’s. Buying with an ADM is just stupid.
