Which heads would work best on a factory 5.0 with the E303 cam, AFR 165's or Trick Flow-Twisted Wedge heads? By best I mean all around not just max power.

but its got to be emissions legal, AFR 165's and 185's, and the Twisted Wedge are smog legal heads. Plus the E303 is legal, thats my I choose it. I just want somewhere near 400 ponies.

My first motor I had was a stock bottom end with a F303 cam with 1.7 rocker arms, Edelbrock performer heads, Performer intake, 65mm TB & EGR, C&L tube and mass air, 24# injectors, X-pipe, spinteck mufflers and 3.27 gears. It ran 7.90's 1/8 @ 87 MPH and 12.50's at 108 MPH. I think if I had 3.73's it would have pulled better times. The motor I have now is a Bennett 306 with twisted wedge heads everything else the same beside the gears I went to 3.73 gears. The car runs 7.90's @ 85 MPH. I have not took it to a 1/4 track to see what it would run there. I lost 2-3 MPH in a 1/8 and only thing differnt is block and heads. So IMO go with anything but Twisted Wedge. AFR's are nice heads and I like Edelbrock heads.
