AEM Uego Wideband Datalog

Ok, so i know this isn't hard. I have a 6 pin male to male firewire cable that i cut one end off. I now have the black, white, green, blue, red, and orange wires. How do I know which wire to connect to the white analog wire that comes from the AEM a/f gauge? I know it is either the orange or the red, but not sure which one. Should I just start datalogging and use trial and error to make sure I tied in the right one?

Also, I've seen two different ways to do this next step. Do I need to 1) ground all correct ground wires or 2) just leave all other wires covered.

Only solder the grounds to ground (and the shielding). It's nice to wire the other two wires in the cable for an analog 2 for datalogging the other bank. This is a nice writeup also. The colors can be slightly different in some firewire cables, but, you can always use oan ohm meter to find which wire goes where.
