Advice on claiming Diminishment of Value?

I was advised to claim diminishment of value against the insurance company for the rear end damage to my car (see my other post).

I'm quite sure that the adjuster will not be as educated on Cobra's as I'd like them to be, so I need some advise from anyone that's either claimed this sort of thing before or knows where I can find some percentages and/or dollar values that I can argue for.

Any ideas?

The only way to prove is to sell the car. i.e got less for it as you had to disclose car was involved in a SERIOUS accident.

Not easy to prove, or get compensated.
