advice needed for 18x10 tires

Okay, so with my 3.73 and my 285/40 rear nt555, I roll through the traps hitting the limiter at 7500-7700. I want to bring this down with a taller tire so I can hopefully roll through the traps at 7000. How tall of a tire should I go? Is 295/45/18 going to be overkill? I actually want a streets me tire to drive home and around whenever I want. I don't rain drive but maybe twice a month

Interesting to note is my 285/40 are supposed to be 26.97 inches but they actually show to be closer to 26.2 inches which is too short

I run a Nitto NT555R on the street, 305/40/18. Specs say its a 27.7" tire but Nittos run a litte small. I fit them with a 1.5" drop very nicely.

Can you take a picture of how tall they are like I did?

If not I was thinking of doing 295/40 which 27.2 I believe
