I was wondering if anyone here has done anything as far as a coolant crossover for the rear of the heads. I'm not talking about the standard coolant bypass that a lot of people do in the back of the heads, but on the top surface where the intake manifold bolts down onto. That area just looks like a great place for air pockets and coolant to move slowly. I'm tempted to fit at least some small AN fittings in the freeze plugs on top there and run them together into the heater core or something.

An earlier version of the "cooling mod" featured a press-in fitting that replaced the freeze plug at the intake manifold (or IMRC on B-heads) mating surface of the head. These pics are from my B-head 4V, taken back in '06.

The same could be done on the passenger side head, and the stock outlet replaced with a freeze plug.
