Just bought a 2010 GT with the Shaker 500. It has updated speakers already, which is very nice. I contemplated buying a whole new double-din head-unit and requisite dash trim package, but have decided to give the Ford Sync a chance, since I like the voice command features in Sync. But one thing the system needs badly is some bass, so a subwoofer in the trunk is the next step.

What are you guys using? Single sub is all I need, either 10" or 12", not sure if 12" will fit easily? Any special tips on the sub box? And how about the amp? Are you guys simply grabbing signals from the rear speakers? I don't think the Shaker 500 has any low-level RCA subwoofer outputs, or does it?

I actually have not bought anything yet, so if someone has a setup for sale, lemme know.

Thanks for any tips/tricks.............. :)
