ABS Modual Compatibility

I have to repalce my ABS modual on my 99 cobra because it stoped responding and the light is on. I found on the (how to) section someone put a used ABS modual on their car. I just wanted to know if I can use a modual off of a 03/04 cobra. Im pretty sure ill have to take it to the dealer to reprogram it, but its cheaper than buying a new one. They want almost 600 bucks for it.

I believe the 03/04 module will work. You need one w/ABS and traction control, not just the ABS (GT). I think my replacement was from an 03. And I didn't need to reprogram anything -- just install and bleed. One of the suggestions in the how-to is to take the ECU off the HCU and installing the HCU first. Then after cleaning up any brake fluid, install the ECU. I recommend following that suggestion. It worked like a charm.
