ABS light

I just installed a set of HID lights on my car last night. Now I turn my lights on and the ABS light comes on too. I turn off the car and restart it and light stays off until I turn on my headlights then the abs comes back on. Any ideas?

I have had the same problem for a few years now. i installed an HID set from hidguy.net and experienced the same issue. When I updated to projectors I used a harness form theretrofitsource.com that has a relay as did the original one from hidguy but it actually helped a bit. I do not have the light come on all the time but it does happen. If you put the lights on first then start the car you will probably not get the light. I have looked into getting Denso OEM style ballasts that I am told may help the situation due to better shielding and reduced power surge on startup. I have the existing ballasts mounted away from the ABS unit so I am sure that it is more of a power surge issue than shielding. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I don't have a relay harness but I'll try to put one on the lights to see if it helps.
