History first, I bought my Cobra last year and with the purchase, I inherited a Teksid block that threw a rod. It Knocked a nickel sized hole in the side and I'm fixen to weld it up and thought I'd see if any of you can assist me with what welding rod to use (if it even maters). I'm just not sure what alloy was used in the block and didn't want to start off on the wrong foot.

looks like I found my answer. "Teksid, a supplier to Ferrari and other manufacturers. The block is cast in SAE 319 modified alloy aluminum before it is heat treated and aged to achieve the desired characteristics."
