I bought a built 302 for my fox. I was looking to get an strim for it. I came across the a-trim unit. Whats the deal with these. older outdated? Can they still make good power?

Could I run a smaller pulley and get more boost or is it maxed out around 8 pounds?

A-Trim puts out around 750 cfm MAX, good for a stock 5.0 but really is not efficient past 8-9lbs of boost due to it's straight impeller design. People have ran smaller 2.75" pulleys and boosted 12lbs but all it is doing is blowing a pile of HOT air in. I had one and sold it since I did not want to be limited by it. The highest I have ever seen is mid 400rwhp with a perfect combo and really spinning it. It's enough to run 11's though. The SC-Trim that replaced it is FAR better. S-Trim vs. A-Trim is like comparing a '04 GT to a "04 cobra....lol.
