Hey gents, my Killer Chiller has been sitting it's box for about 2-3 years and I am putting everything together for install here shortly. I want to change all my O-rings, and was curious if anyone knows if our cars take a specific kit, or will a general kit work? There's a few kits on Amazon and such for about $15, but I want to make sure I get it right the first time.

Also I've heard changing out the orifice tube will increase cooling to the cabin, just curious if anyone has any insight on that? :pop:

I just did this.

Here is the orifice tube I used. My old one had a bunch of crud in the screen so I'm glad I changed it.

Here is the o-ring kit I used. I don't recommend it! JUNK! I chased a leak with the cheap shit. It doesn't include the rings for the compressor. The rings for the condenser weren't the right size and leaked so I had to put the old ones in. Go through a Ford site vendor and buy OEM.

Here is the Freon I picked up.

Thanks for the reply, hopefully Ford doesn't charge an arm and a leg for the O-rings.

Did you add any PAG oil to the system at all?

When i replaced the AC compressor last year on my cobra I also replaced the orifice with the GM white .072
http://www.autozone.com/cooling-hea...orifice-tube/santech-a-c-orifice-tube/157826/

it flows more than the stock black piece for better results and I used a AC system O-ring kit specific to 99-04 mustangs from autozone with no leaks or issues.

I had the Gen3 KC and anytime you open the AC system always a good idea to replace the accumulator as the desiccant bag absorbs moisture from outside air. If you replaced the compressor add maybe 2-3 ounce of motorcraft pag oil, careful not to over due it dont wanna clog the lines or your new orifice

Also consider re charging the system with Industrial 12a refrigerant (R134a Replacement) its more efficient for better cooling abilities

Does anything else need to be changed when switching to R12a, or different PAG oil?

Nothing needs changing make sure the can says r134a replacement, if your only removing the r134a and pulling a vacuum to add the 12a dont add any new pag oil
