This truck has been taken care of and it shows. 0 rust anywhere. Garaged it's whole life and recent (2 years ago) full paintjob! Truck looks absolutely perfect from 5 feet away! (paintjob was from previous owner who installed cowl hood, 01 mirrors and wanted rock chips on the fenders and front bumper taken care of so he had the whole truck repainted. In a few spots the paint doesn't sit right, but you can't tell from 5 feet away). 0 dents, dings, or scratches anywhere!
I purchased the truck about a month ago and did the following (before my commute changed from 25 miles a day to 110 and just can't do that to this truck) things to it:
-Full detail with paint correction, polishing, sealing on the whole exterior. Interior and engine bay detailed as well. All by a professional shop
-New tail lights (factory 01+ tails)
-New "Lightning" Mats"
-Front bumper cover repainted (there were rock chips and scrapes on it when I got it)
-New 01+ Fogs
-Professional Alignment
-Fresh window tint
-New Headlights
-New radio, speakers, and amp
-Oil Change, coolant flush, A/C charged
The truck has never had a tune or pulley, has no lights, no issues. Does have the following minimal modifications:
-Steel Cowl Hood
-Chrome Grill inserts
-LED lights throughout
-K&N Intake
-Custom aftermarket exhaust with Flowmaster muffler and cat delete
-Boost bypass mod
-Lowered in the front with unknown modifications
-Lowered in the rear with rear ride high and load leveling airbag setup with the coolest fill line spot I have ever seen (in the license plate)
That's all the modifications.
This truck sounds good, drives great, feels great, and looks great! No lights, no issues, now excuses.
Only thing is that in 2003 the truck lost traction in the rain on a curve and spun out in the road. While spinning it suffered damage to the front bumper, rear bumper and left side. The airbags did deploy.
The insurance company totaled the truck then (I'm told through the previous owners "connections" he was able to insist it was totaled... but I can't confirm)
Regardless... the owner who wrecked it bought it back from insurance and had it fixed (needed airbags, airbag computer reset, front bumper, grill, rear bumper, and a new Drivers Side bed side) which he had professionally done and he drove the truck for 8 more years before selling it.
Other than that blemish in its history and the small imperfections in the paint it is a perfect, no excuses truck that it reliable and fun to drive. Brakes are good, all recent maintenance, and tons of tread on all tires.
