I thought they were as well, but I really have never seen one run. I know the 350z is slow as hell stock though

HP rating for the 03 350 Z was something like 270hp right(maybe 280)? Considering a 99 Cobra with 320hp should walk a Z both being stock......it shouldnt be surprising that you beat a much heavier 4seater version with the same engine/power as a 350 Z.

EDIT: The 03 G35 was rated at 260hp and the 350Z was rated at 287hp.

In a straight line, the 99 will get it. However, put the G out on the road course and he may just leave you.

I have a buddy with about 10k of parts on a G35 and he is very quick on the road course. Same goes for all my friends with 350s. You will be amazed at how well they do in the twisties in stock form.

I posted on here a while ago when I ran a g35 in my 97..... at the time I didnt have gears. The g35 had full exhaust, intake, and a 75 shot.... from a 40mph roll to 110ish he put 3-4 cars on me.

i honestly didnt think i would hear the infamous "it will out handle it in a road course/twisties" on this forum!
i'm pretty sure if he also put 10k on his cobra it would handle bad ass in a road course event as well!

This post is kinda funny.
I bet I could make a Geo Metro handle pretty well with 10K in parts as well.

I beat one in a '98 Cobra with 4.10's by about two cars in the 1/8th and was pulling away.

G35 is a random car. Sometimes they are fast, sometimes they are slow. My guess is, the driver mod. I beat a couple with a 99 Grand Prix GTP. Still have yet to try one with my Mustang GT though

If I come to Miami anytime soon I'll shoot you a message so we can setup a run.. I ran a 8.87 @ 80mph in the 1/8th (intake only), haven't been to the quarter yet.. Should be close IMO.
