99 & 01 Cobra differences? 99 Cobra recall??

Just trying to find out what the differences between the 99 and 01 Cobras are? When Ford recalled all the 99 Cobra's what did they do to get the 320hp? If I have a motor made in 2/16/01 would this be the 320hp 01 Motor or should I do what Ford did to obtain the 320hp?

Well being i had a 99, this is what was done.

The hp fix- replaced the intake with a better one, reflashed the PCM, replaced the restrictive catback.

Now for some issues they could not fix- vibe,clunk and pop.

Diffeerence between the 99 and 01 Cobras- headlights are darker,new rear spoiler,put a damper on the driveshaft, polished rims, and new seat materials.

There may be more. Hope this helps.

since i've had BOTH.....

don't forget the cobra on the back bumper instead of mustang

different steering wheel leather

rear child seat achors on the rear deck

6 disc in-dash cd changer

serpentine belt rearrangement

improved traction control system

revised bushings in IRS for less wheelhop under load.

that's all i can think of right now.....if i remember any more i'll post them.

the 01's have 31 spline shafts vs 28...and for some reason the stock 01's give a tad more power than a fixed 99
