So we all know about the problems with upgrading the fuel system on the 98 cobras, but i am considering a possible solution that is a little on the racier side of things.

I am throwing around the idea of ditching the factory tank, pump, and lines. Cutting the spare tire well out (never got one with the car) then replacing all of it with a sumped fuel cell, AN lines (my friends has all the tooling to make them), and an inline pump. I dont know the exact details on any of the parts yet, but im wondering if anyone has done it yet or if this is a good or bad idea. Thought i would bounce it off of the SVT crew to see what you guys thought.

You can do all that without cutting out the spare tire area. They make a sump you can weld on a stock tank or they make an aftermarket sumped tank.

I was thinking a bigger cell for a little added range too since i will be running E85 and some of our stations are more than a tank of fuel apart.
