Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows if the imrcs from a 97/98 will fit in a 96 Cobra without any problems?

iwell as long as you have the gaskets with the IMRC youll be fine. Just saying you cant use 96-97 ones with a 98 gasket but that more applies if you have to order new ones.

Well I will be installing 98 imrcs in a my girlfriends 96 cobra. I will be looking at it tomorrow and obviously I will know if it will work by then. But I'm trying to find out before hand.

The only advantage possible is slightly less heat transfer from the motor to the intake with composits compared to metal.

And I do mean slight.

Well My girlfriends 96 cobra's IMRCs were causing a minor vacuum leak.
I looked on here and everything I found told me that the 98's would fit with the 96.
So I bought the 98 imrcs and now I find out that the gaskets are different once its all apart.
So I am trying to figure out if I can make them fit, or if I just have to get 96/97 imrcs

Not to troll and all.... But they will fit. Idk why you keep going back to assuming you may have to make them fit. Check the plastic 98 imrcs. Is there a "rubbery gasket" already installed? Probably with IIRC orange/black coloring?

And if not. Who cares. Buy the 98 style gasket....
Do not waste your time trying to use the 96/97 style gasket.
You do not need to waste your time getting the 96/97 imrcs. Like at all.

/end thread.
