What wheels and tires are you running drag radials on? I need to set up a friends 97 cobra with some drag radials. Looking at 17" Nitto or MT's. Wheel size and BS, and tire sizes please, pics help too!!

I have a 275 Nitto on a 17x9, and you can DEFINITELY go 315 NITTOS on these tires. 275s fit perfectly flush, but I like the look when the tires buldge a little bit. If you run Nittos, then go 315. I don't know for sure how wide you can go on MTs though.

Here's a pic of my 275 Nittos on 9" 03 wheels:

Is that a 9" wheel? And do you have a spacer? I have a 1" spacer on my 275s.

I'll dig for some pics of my rears, I have 315 BFG Drag Radials on 10.5" wheels, and they should probably be on 11's lol.. they are HUGE lol..

Wynn, those are 17x10.5s and those pics are pre 3/8 spacer.... i now have 245s on my factory 97 cobras with a 3/8 spacer and it helps, but deff need a wider tire on there... lol

With the 10.5" wheels no spacer is required, correct? Do you have to remove the kicker shock? The car this is for is 100% stock.

You might be able to fit them on the wheel, but it'll bow the tire and you'll have less traction, plus IMO the uber bulge would look retarded... I have 275 NT555's on the front of mine and they are as big as I'll go on a 9" wheel.

Yes they will fit... For reference a friend of mine had a 345/30/18 BFG DR on his 18x10 saleens. They bulged on the side some but it looked badass... I'll get pics up if you guys wanna see

Decision made, Anthrocite FR500's, 17x10 rear with 315/35 555's, 17x9 front with 255/40 555's. Anyone see a problem here? A buddy said you can flip the kicker shock over instead of removing it. I don't run them on my 93's but this car is stock, and boring.... for now.

they should be 17x10.5 rear and there wont be a problem and you shouldnt have to flip the quad shock, mine fit just fine.
