I am selling my 96 Cobra Mystic.
Disclosures:
I’m asking $27,000
It’s completely original and just over 9700 miles on the clock. I even saved the original tires, floor mats are still wrapped from factory, it’s covered and rests on carpet in my garage. Battery is always disconnected after a Sunday drive.
I will say, the owner prior to me(2 owner car) while an enthusiast of sorts) allowed water marks to settle. Paint is not marred but it should be wheeled or an orbital to bring it back to its true glory. I have three kids so my time is quite limited.
When the dealer(ny) had it, story goes the owner kept it in his personal collection for quite some time, installed an after market alarm and neon lighting behind the grilles. The rear brake vents still have them mounted however I clipped and removed the switch and some wiring so they do not function.
Also, when the dealer sold it, they fat-fingered the mileage. It had 7200 miles when sold but carfax calls a discrepancy as the mileage typed was 7400.
I only have one key- the previous owner did not have the second key and since it sat in his garage and now sits in mine, I was not overly concerned.
Those are the 3 deductions and make me price the car accordingly.
Just want to be upfront and honest.
The car is actually in impeccable shape, still have the signed SVT card attached to the engine with both signatures of the two engine builders. The ac was recharged due to an oring leaking( Ford parts were used to preserve the car) and still have the actual oring that was replaced. I’ve tried to maintain the cars heritage using only motor craft oil and filter etc.
