96 Cobra 1/4 Info..

So I decided to run my 96 Cobra down the 1/4 mile the other night for the 2nd time... Before the night started my best pass in the car was a 13.95 @ 99mph with a 2.06 60ft with nittos on my 17'' Cobra rims

My first pass last night with 18'' fr500s with street tires with about 10% life left
14.02 @ 101.2 MPH with a 2.28 60ft


Second pass
13.85 @ 103.1 mph with a 2.27 60ft

Final pass
13.66 @ 104.1 mph with a 2.21 60ft


I think for the mods that I have listed in my sig I did pretty good.. The best 60ft I ever cut was a 1.80 with my 94 cobra with 3.73s and m/t et streets..

Next season i'm going to have 4.10s and a new tire/rim combo and try to break into the 12's :rockon:

Nice runs! But I think you my need a lil more power for the 12s though. :shrug: Isnt like 107/108 MPH good for 12's?

theres plenty of cars that have gone high 12's at 103 and some change. 108 can get you some nice mid 12's depending on how hard you 60'.

Ive seen a few 99-01 cobras getting into the 12's with just some gears, bigs and littles, and suspension at 103mph

Don't go with 4.10's. They cause you to shift to 4th just before the lights.

I know that.. 3:73s that I had in my 94 cobra caused me to shift to 4th before trapping.. I got to 6100rpm in 3rd gear in this car with 3.27s
