I need to pull and rebuild the starter on my 95R.
Can anyone confirm that it will come out without removing the shorty headers?

Thanks, Guy

Hi guy. The P.O. Of #181 wasn't very mechanically inclined, and he did it himself so I wouldn't think the headers have to be removed. #181s headers have never been tampered with.

Now, the H...that may be a different story. Still not that big of a deal.

If you're trying to preserve originality, the starter is nothing special. If you're a cheapskate like me and prefer to rebuild the original because it's cheaper, then I applaud your instincts.

3205SN at advance auto for a brand new one, guaranteed to fit, buy online and use the TRT30 coupon code for 30% off and pick it up within 30 minutes, and boom you're done.

One other thing to add...the starter you're looking for is 2 3/8 depth on the bendix, with a 3/4 offset.
