95 R transmission

I believe it is a Tremec 3550 correct?

...I'm searching for a .83 or .80 5th gearset to replace the ratio - while keeping the input splines (dont want to replace clutch/pressure plate).

Anyone hear of such a gearset?

Yes, the parts are definately out there to switch the O/D ratio to a .8 range. This was common for the racers so they could pull 5th gear.

I spoke to these guys about a month ago who said they could supply me with a gear no problem. Only thing they need is the tag number off the transmission to make sure they give you the correct 5th gear as there were a few iterations of the 3550.
