Im looking at buying a 95 f-150 4x4 for a winter truck. How long do the 5.0's in these usually last? And are there any major problems that these trucks usually have?

mine still runs like new with almost 160 on the clock, ive nailed over 250 thou on a 5.0, but the 300 will run twice that if you take care of it. it will outlast the truck.

i just bought a '95 F-150 yesterday for my winter beater. (in my sig). Its got 156,xxx on teh clock and runs mint.

I'm also curious to see how long these things generally last.

My 89 ran like a top at 170K but there wasn't much sheet metal left. Northeast winters had a lot to do with that.... 5.0 in these trucks is solid
