I took my car out yesterday and it was driving fine, but under wot it would backfire and miss past 4 grand. Today I got in and had the same crank/no start issue I was having a few months ago that I fixed by replacing the TFI module. I ordered a Motorcraft module (the one that I think went bad is an Accel unit) that will be here Tuesday but I'm trying to figure out why this car keeps blowing these things. I'm running an MSD distributor, coil, wires through the stock ignition (no MSD box) if that makes a difference, and except for longtubes the motor is completely stock.

Swap the MSD distributor out for a stock one and see if the problems go away.
That MSD dizzy is your problem, the standard motorcraft replacement is what you need.
