Yesterday, after driving 30 minutes the car started running like it had a dead cylinder. Did this for about 5 minutes then started running smooth again. In retrospect, I should've shut it down and restarted it but was on a 4 lane and was worried it might not restart. Ran fine tonight for over an hour.

Any ideas?

On a side note I still beat a Camaro in a race! LOL, just kidding on that last part.

that could be a number of things, water in fuel, trash on a sensor. have you check for any stored DTCs?

have you checked your plugs ??

Gonna check the plugs. I found a few more threads with a very similar story. each one a restart cleared it up. No check engine but, I'll plug in the Xcal3 and have a look. Following day it ran fine on a round trip of 75 miles. If i had to guess, I'd say a coil pack was not firing.

I have had 2 o2 sensors go bad and act that way. Passenger side would go to 18:1(lean) factory o2s would read .1xxx. Replaced the sensor and it went away. I have run some leaded fuel on both though.

Sounds like one of those high quality ford coil packs to me
