Winter in upstate NY. Picked up a clean, low mileage, 8.8 with 3.73s just before the new year for $400! Cleaned it up and just painted it yesterday. 2 coats of SPI Epoxy primer/sealer then 2 coats of BASF 2k acrylic with 25% flattening agent. Waiting on ARP carrier stud set and TA Performance girdle cover. I have Steeda sport linears, Koni Sport yellow adjustables, Steeda heavy duty strut mounts & a Steeda adjustable panhard bar all ready to install. Any install tips or initial setup for front camber with this combo welcome.

The 2011 GTCS in my sig.
..so i guess i didnt pay much attention......didnt the gtcs come with a 8.8......
and most i know came with 373..but yours may have come with 331
so what did you buy and why? or is this just an extra axle

Got an entire 3.73 dif for $400 as I said. Mine has 3.31. Same 8.8 yes. Not being painted bothered me so this swap works out. Doing everything else I mentioned at the same time. Otherwise, yes I could have just done a gear swap.
Anything worth doing is worth overdoing...

Looks great man! I hate the fact the ford didn't paint/coat the rear axles on those cars. Be sure to post pics after you install it..

Yeah, the GT500s of the same year and since are all painted.
Install pics will have to wait until next month. I'm painting another project next (vw sand rail).
